Catch Claire of Patch here: website, blog

Based in Lowestoft, Suffolk and established in 2010, Patch Fabric and Haberdashery was purely an online business until very recently.  Their new shop not only stocks a fabulous selection of  fabrics, but trims and ribbons too and caters for the serious quilter and dressmaker as well as those that like to dabble with wonderful fabrics.

Patch offer a choice of 6 brilliant workshops all run from their premises.  There's something to suit everyone from Beginners Sewing - learning to make a cushion, fabric bag or children's clothing to morning craft workshops for children throughout August.
Patch Fabric & Haberdashery
Learn the art of freehand embroidery using your own sewing machine.  This is a great workshop for those that are confident using their sewing machine but have a desire to learn something new.  A day's tuition, which includes coffee and lunch, will give you the knowledge and skill to produce something creative to take home.  Patch provide all the necessary materials needed for the day, just bring along your sewing machine (details of what's needed can be found here).
Patch Fabric & Haberdashery
The art of sewing log cabin patchwork blocks is taught on a Saturday evening.  This is another workshop suitable for beginners who are confident enough to sew a straight line using a sewing machine.  Bring along a selection of fabrics, sharp scissors and thread (and your sewing machine - although there are some available at Patch to use) and produce a wonderful array of colour with end results ideal to use for cushions or quilts.

Details of all the workshops currently available to book are listed here.  But that's not all, on top of all these exciting workshops Patch also run a regular Jewellery Workshop every Tuesday.
