Welcome 2013

Happy new year to all my readers, customers and anyone else who happens to drop by!

2012 hasn't been the best of years for many, including us.  We've had our fair share of health issues in the family, continuous car problems and pets needing attention which has all resulted in mega bucks disappearing from our ever dwindling bank account.  Although 2013 has started with a large vet's bill for Tilly (that's for another blog entry), 2013 feels like it'll be a very happy and successful year.
Mild with beautiful blue skies
New Year's Day was very mild so Paul and I seized the moment and took Poppy and Boris, the Land Rover, out for a nice walk to clear the airways.  We headed out past Sandringham to some lovely woods (not sure what they're called or where exactly they are - and I can't be bothered to source the map to find out).  The road towards the woods was pretty muddy and full of puddles so we took it slowly.  As we reached the edge of the woods Paul noticed he was being followed by a long trail of fellow Landie owners also taking their trucks out for a nice long walk!!
Boris'day out
We stopped off for a much needed warming cuppa (yes it was mild, but not that mild), and came home via these beautiful ancient ruins near Gaywood (taken from the truck - notice all the mud splatters on the window).
derelict church
It was a lovely start to the year - woke us up and gave us that positivity we needed to get on with things.  In our case, redecorating our rather drap, poo brown, bedroom.  It's well on the road to being a cream and pea green bedroom - loving it.
Happy New Year!
